Thoughts and the future of this blog:
Genuinely INSANELY disappointed :’) Although I was initially on the fence about twt and still don’t think it’s fantastic as an archive and is a bit messy, it suited my needs far better than the other social media options currently available. Although engagement began tanking with weird measures that were put in place to apparently decrease spam/scam accounts, it still offered the opportunity for your work to be discovered by people who weren’t following you per say. I dislike and don’t find insta useful at all because it doesn’t seem like I get any engagement from people who aren’t already followers and engagement is so important if you’re trying to advertise yourself or your skills as an artist for example. I have a few theories on how engagement and discovery works on that platform outside of just tons of tags but not enthused about the thought of having to try to pick apart how to jive with more algorithms :/ Makes me feel insane.
Anyways, I’ll be repurposing this blog. As it’s linked with my artblog (clarissadixonsart) this is here to stay. I’m thinking I’ll put my FFXIV things here. More memey things and video edits. Also character lore that doesn’t have art in the post perhaps? If there’s something similar to the wolqotd, wolsday, and wolquestion hashtags that I discovered over on twt I’d love to pick that up over here! If for some reason I end up being particularly driven and can find the time, maybe I’ll make a few blogs and style them as if they were run by my wol or xiv ocs :) I think that’d be a fun little character exploring activity! We’ll see… Anyways, I guess it’s good to be back? The terms of why I’m back not so much, but I actually do quite enjoy being able to read the little thoughts people put in the tags when they reblog my art! I missed that 💖
